Hello all.
I had been looking to retire in the Western Algarve but prices and availability of long term rentals is becoming impossible so I am considering the East. I am familiar with the significant expat communities in the West and wondered what it is like in Tavira. I am a single 74 year old man from USA retiring on social security.
Can you communicate reasonably well in English while learning Portuguese?
Also, any information about local health care is appreciated.
