Did you move to New Zealand as an adult? Participate in a study on identity.

Kia ora,

My name is Agnes and I'm a researcher at the Centre for Applied Cross-Cultural Research, School of Psychology at Victoria University of Wellington. I am writing to the forum because I would like to invite the members to participate in my latest study on immigrants’ self-perceptions in New Zealand.

First, just a little bit of background to my study. I have been examining how moving to a new culture affects the self-perception, well-being, and adaptation of immigrants. I have been conducting research on these topics for a while with immigrants in New Zealand and overseas. The main goal of my current study is to gain a better understanding of how immigrants from different cultural groups view and define themselves. This project involves the completion of an anonymous questionnaire, which takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

To complete the following survey, you must…
- have been born outside of New Zealand,
- have come to New Zealand when you were at least 16 years old,
- currently live in New Zealand,
- and be older than 18 years of age.

I would greatly appreciate your participation in this study. And please PASS THE LINK ON to other immigrants you know and who might be interested in participating (e.g. partner, family, colleagues, or friends). So even if you don’t qualify for participation, you could still help me out.

Thank you so much for your help.

Agnes
